Halloween Decorating Contest
October is here, you know what that means!
Houses in Goshen with Halloween scenes
Conjuring laughs or ghastly screams.
The JRC “Boo Crew” invite you this year
To decorate your home and invoke some fear.
Hang up the bats and all the black cats,
Bring out the skulls and monsters with stitches,
Lights and frights and old, warty witches.
Pull out the spiders along with their webs,
Fill a black cauldron with newts and frog’s legs.
Display ghosts and ghouls and zombies who drool,
Glowing eyes around a haunted pool.
Carve spooky patterns on your jack o' lanterns.
Whatever you choose, make it stand out in the night
Then register your masterpiece on our website.
The “Boo Crew” will venture through village and town
To find the winner, no contest, hands down.
Register your decoration creation on our website www.goshenrecreation.com or nominate someone else’s via email lisaf@goshenrecreation.org by midnight on Saturday, October 29.
Judging will take place the evening of October 30 and the winner will be notified on October 31.
The winner will receive a Party City gift certificate for $50 and other Halloween goodies.
Members of the Joint Recreation Commission are excluded from this contest.
Decorating cannot be done or assisted by a decorating company.
You must be a Goshen Town or Village resident to enter the contest.
